Auckland Lantern Festival

Muriwai Gannet Colony Sunset

The gannet colony of Muriwai is always a soothing experience, watching the birds effortless glide across the cliffs of Muriwai and Maori Bay. We headed along to the main viewing platform to observe the birds, followed by the rich sunset soon after. As usual, the wind was blowing a gale, keeping the evening interesting.

Kitekite Falls, Piha

We ventured out to the awesome Kitekite Falls, on Glenesk Road, Piha with our great friend Angus (angusgomes.com). The walk is a dual track, easy 20-30min stroll, dependent on how long your legs are Once at the end, you’re faced with the majestic Kitekite Falls, erupting out of the Waitakere Ranges.
