Over the past few weeks, we ran a competition for engaged couples… the winning couple would receive a free engagement session with us, and receive all their images on disc.
We asked for their romantic engagement stories. We were really overwhelmed with the response and the amazing beautiful proposals, which made our job even harder!
We had sunrise / sunset / horse riding / parachuting / and many overseas travel stories.
Over the weekend, we sat down to work out our winner. We were looking for something original and beautiful.
The quality of entries were so good, we decided to award special 3rd and 2nd places also.
So, in 3rd place gaining 40% off the normal engagement session cost, we have chosen Silmara & Aiden – for their proposal at Iguassu Falls – bordering Brazil & Argentina. Aiden planned the whole trip and did such an amazing job keeping it secret from Silmara. He even designed the ring himself!
Closely ahead in 2nd place with 50% off, we loved the story of Thalia & Jamie. A beautiful sunrise from a cliff top in the Bay of Islands, with a fishing rod…After reeling this one in, the catch was a ring box with ribbons on it, inside a heart shaped rock with “Marry Me?” At which point Jamie got down on one knee and pulled out the actual ring. So cute!
Finally, the winner was something completely different…
Rochelle & James‘ story captured our hearts.
James planned a lovely dinner at the Sky Tower’s revolving restaurant, Orbit, for Rochelle’s birthday. When the time came for her to open presents, she unwrapped the book that James had made.
“Life as a Fairy Tale”, filled with adventure, and a good dose of humor, telling a romantic story of their love, and eventually…their engagement 🙂
We were both in awe of James’ efforts to create something so original and from the heart.
