One of the greatest activies to do in New Zealand during summer, is camping in the Far North. There are literally hundreds of almost inhabited amazing beaches, clear blue waters, with the summer heat still pumping down. As summer was drawing to an end, and every other person was back at school and work, it was the perfect time to escape away. Five days in Northland. Whahoo! Our first destination was camping on the waterfront of Matauri Bay. Ready to capture the morning sunrise across the water. As we arrived in the late evening, we had some quick fish and chips (what else?!) – before driving along to Tauranga Bay – around 30min away from Matauri Bay along some amazing coastal roads, winding across the rugged landscape. This is why we love New Zealand. Divine. Peaceful. Simply Beautiful.
There’s also many nesting birds at Tauranga Bay
