Twenty-seventeen, you were 365 days of HUGE moments.
You were baptism by fire. You were NEW LIFE. You were LOVE. You held us STRONG through times of pain. You listened to our unbridled laughter. You were hard work. You were 1589 cups of coffee. You were the twinkling stars outside on those long nights where we held sleeping children on our laps in front of a task laden computer screen.
You were JOY, witnessing love atop mountains. You were the discovery of new talents and nurture of old ones. You were FRIENDSHIP and community. You were GROWTH.
Twenty-seventeen, you were a complex and mystifying friend to us – you pushed us beyond any limits we had set on our selves. You showed us the value of POSSIBILITY and the importance of PERSEVERANCE. More than anything, you taught us to have FUN! Jump off that wharf, make those snow angels, laugh at our mistakes and enjoy WHO WE ARE.
