It is with great honour to announce that Katrina has just been named Young Photographer of the Year - at tonight’s NZ Geographic awards at Auckland Airport. Judged by the amazing Andris Apse, Rob Suisted and Arno Gasteiger, Katrina managed to come out top with her portfolio of images selected for the NZ Geographic competition....
Lest We Forget. In fitting rememberance of our fallen heroes, the evening sky illuminated very brightly red. Quite possibly the most vibrant sunset we’ve ever witnessed. Whilst at Karekare, we also saw a couple of fire breathers performing for a video camera.
After the great lunch and afternoon spent at Ascension Wines, Matakana, Warren, Katrina and Candace drove to Piha to unwind from the long day. We shot a few fun portraits in the long sand dune grass, before watching the sun settle below the horizon and the many surfers.
