We had 4 nights in Queenstown, and we stayed at Mantra Marina – after checking some trip adviser reviews. This place was awesome – amazing room, and was upgraded for free thanks to the manager, Greg.
After a mad 36 hours since flying in from Auckland, we gave ourselves a few hours break from photos. We found a quiet spot by the lakefront to watch sunset, and then had a scrumptious dinner at Captains Restaurant.
Once we got back to our apartment, the stars were shining brightly, so couldn’t resist grabbing the camera.
For sunrise, Warren chose to drive up Coronet Peak Road, with views back across the Remarkables, and the valley between Queenstown and Arrowtown. Two hot air ballons from Sunrise Balloons could be seen – what a stunning view they would have had!
