Welcome to Abbeville Estate, Auckland’s newest wedding venue. Always ones for curiosity, we invited ourselves for a tour and walk around the picturesque estate. Sue, the lovely owner of The Great Catering Company, kindly showed us around with pride and joy. Driving along a tree lined driveway, we got excited at our first glimpse of carefully restored chapel, at the corner of our eyes we noticed the most picture-perfect red barn. If this wasn’t enough to make us wish we were shooting a wedding on this day, the boutique homestead was. And we haven’t even got the meticulous details that add to the history of Abbeville’s 150 year old heritage. As we discovered each piece of photographer’s delight, on more than one occasion during our visit, we found ourselves itching with the ideas and opportunities we could use on an actual wedding here. This goes onto our seriously recommend list for venues.
