Karolina and Albert were one of our very first elopements! Just after the New Year, we travelled to Northland to witness and capture their gorgeous wedding in Northland. Ngati Kuri elder, Pineaha Murray, officiated their wedding on the pristine beach of Kapowairua (aka Spirits Bay). The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! We had a bluebird day with warm temperatures and a bit of a breeze to help cool us down. Karolina had a beautiful flowing white dress while Albert was in dress shorts and a white linen shirt – perfect attire for a beach wedding.
After their beautiful ceremony and a splash in the vast Pacific Ocean, we ventured up to Te Rerenga Wairua (aka Cape Reinga). We made use of the epic lighthouse for some creative shots and even saluted the famous signpost at the northern tip of NZ. As the day came to an end, we watched the sun dip below the horizon and were treated to golden rays as the sun set.
