Nestled between Thames and Pauanui in Coromandel is the great Kauraeranga Kauri Trail, where the Pinnacles peak at 759m high. We decided to spend our Labour weekend traversing the trail and staying overnight in the 80 bed DOC hut. After snaking our way along the riverbeds, we spent sunset atop the Pinnacles cliff top with extensive 360 degree views. Simply amazing! Here’s a few of our favourites:
