Shortly before travelling overseas to Scotland and Skye, we saw the incredible “Way Back Home” short video featuring Danny MacAskill – one of the worlds best trail bike riders… It was amazing to see so much familiar landscapes from a few years ago, and again during our recent trip. Today marked the sad part of our journey, driving more than 1,000km over 12 hours from deep in Scotland to south-east London. We decided to leave a day earlier than planned, to avoid Christmas Eve traffic – very glad we did! The news featured non stop traffic jams across the whole of the UK, however the 23rd was rather hassle free the whole way. 🙂
Just as a reminder of how cold Scotland was.. the temperature never once came out of the negatives. The coldest morning was officially -22°C in Mallaig – not far from where we were staying in Kyleakin. Decided to take some macro photos of the icy grass opposite Buachaille Etive Mor.
